Volunteers Needed for Fall StoryCycles Program Prep
While there is still plenty of summer to enjoy, the Tandem team is preparing to enter its busiest time of the year as we prepare for the upcoming Back to School season. Each fall, we prepare StoryCycles® program materials for delivery to over 800 classrooms throughout San Francisco, Alameda, and Contra Costa counties. That’s a lot of books, bags, and program resource materials! See below for opportunities to visit our San Francisco headquarters to help us prepare our program materials for educators, children, and families to enjoy.
July 28-August 5: Weekdays (Saturday July 30th or Saturday August 6th is also available). Drop-in sessions for volunteers to unpack and prepare StoryCycles bags.
August 8-12: Weekdays. Drop-in sessions for volunteers to assemble educator resource packets.
August 26th: Book Sort Day! Join our team as we work together to fill StoryCycles bags with books that children will enjoy throughout the program year.
September 9th, 10th: Book Sort Days! We’ll complete packing StoryCycles bags with books and prepare our materials for delivery.
Volunteering with Tandem will give you a chance to enjoy our diverse collection of children’s books and learn more about our StoryCycles program and our work in the community. Whether you are looking to volunteer alone or with a group, for just an hour or maybe even a whole day – we appreciate your support!
