Dear Friends of Tandem,

On behalf of the Board of Directors, I want to personally thank each of you for your ongoing support of our work. This new year will bring continued growth and change to Tandem; at the same time, we will see our work deepen and grow.

Last Summer our founding Executive Director, Molly Wertz, announced that she would be stepping down from her role this June to pursue other opportunities. These past ten years, Molly has led Tandem with excellence and distinction. Her enthusiasm, strategic focus, and warm generosity of spirit have been critical to the strong foundation Molly has laid for Tandem’s future; we have a stable infrastructure, a brilliant team, and dynamic partnerships that will support our equity-focused work for years to come. Over the past decade, Tandem’s work has been recognized as a key component of quality early childhood education in our region and acknowledged for being critical to increasing access to quality resources and support for families whose children don’t have the benefit of formal early education.

This Fall, the Board has been actively preparing for the transition and soliciting input from staff, funders, partners, and stakeholders. As Molly gets ready to pass the baton to our next leader, we hope we can count on you to help share this incredible leadership opportunity.
