Tandem and The Warriors Team Up to Celebrate Mayor Edwin M. Lee!
Tandem joins the Warriors in Celebrating Ed Lee at Court Unveiling
On March 30th, the Warriors Community Foundation, Good Tidings Foundation, PG&E, & the Salvation Army came together to dedicate the “Edwin M. Lee Court” at The Salvation Army Chinatown Corps Community Center in San Francisco in honor of the late Mayor of San Francisco. You can view their video of the event here.
The Warriors Community Foundation continues to be a thoughtful and impactful partner of local community organizations throughout the Bay. They support many education nonprofits (like Tandem!) in addition to having restored over 70 youth basketball courts. This event was both a moving tribute to the late Ed Lee, and an example of the Warriors Community Foundation’s commitment to improving the lives of Bay Area children.
Tandem was on hand to give the children participating in the basketball clinic beautiful books to go along with their new basketballs!
Tandem is grateful for the Warriors Community Foundation! As a longtime funder of Tandem, they truly live up to their mission of supporting “education and youth development to promote thriving students, schools and communities.”
